It is pretty apparent that nurses love to give other nurses, nursing related gifts. I have to say, Marta was pretty excited to register for the baby healthcare/grooming kit when we were at Babies ‘R Us, but we weren’t really expecting the gift-givers to be just as or even more excited about giving us the hand little healthcare set.
Marta just had her baby shower with her nurse friends from the hospital…here’s what she came home with (among other things)
The ultrasound results are in and we are having a boy! He is still due sometime around Christmas, but they said probably a little earlier at the rate he is growing. Here are a couple shots of Liam Mark Jones from the ultrasound…
I was needing an excuse to come up with some new monsters for the series and my friend and coworker at JLOOP Courtney gave me just that. She saw the pillow monsters I made for Sloane and Ella and asked me if I could make a couple more for two of her friends that had upcoming baby showers. I got a little crazy and gave Max arms AND legs, but then I went back to the basic one set of limbs for Jason! I really like how the fabric and shape of Max turned out, but I definitely still prefer the large teeth and one large eye on Jason! (also, I like inserting ! at the end of awesome names) Anyways, here are the new monsters…

Our good friends are expecting little ones very soon. Marta went to the baby shower this morning and we handmade some fun stuff for them. Marta is a genius when it comes to sewing and I try to pick up some pointers from her. I made the monster pillows to match the booties Marta made. And now I’ve decided to start a series of creations, drawings, animations, anything monster-inspired called “MEGAWESOME MONSTERS”
