The O’Malleys brought their pup Rex over. Turns out he and Henry had the same pumpkinhead costume, and they loved it…
Can you imagine how obnoxious I am going to be with a camera once we have a child and not just a puppy?
Goodnight.

It took us until the day before Halloween to make time for carving our pumpkin. And even then, we squeezed in a date at Cafe Piccolo and a movie we have been waiting 2 weeks to see, Where the Wild Things Are, at the Art Theatre before Marta went to bed and I took the time to gut our pumpkin and put it under the knife. I wish I could say the carving experience was more enjoyable, but in comparison to the dinner and movie with my wonderful wife, it ended up being more of a chore. I was looking for a movie to watch while I did the carving and found my inspiration in Johnny Depp’s character from Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands. I am happy with the results, even though one of our “much to old to be trick-o-treating” trick-o-treaters tonight asked me who it was, and I told him, he said, “oh yea? i guess it sort of looks like him”

My wife is a crafting genius. She made this owl mask for our friend Susie who was hosting a Masquerade Fundraiser for a project she is involved with called KidTrek. Go to http://www.kidtrek.org to learn more and help support her.

We had a JLOOP party. Pizza, candy, pumpkins, piƱata, candy, costumes, dry ice, noodles, candy corn, monsters, candy, and more candy…the kids loved it.

Check out the JLOOP festivities by clicking on one of the thumbnails below:
My favorite moment from last night was when I told Micah (the scarecrow), “Hey Scarecrow, Nice costume…you look scary”
And he responded with “Youre welcome”.

Still having fun with the new camera. Tried some night time shots and came out with some fun photos. I especially like the couple of photos of the kids on the carny version of the teacups…
