The tile saga continues…

We found out today at 3:30 that we would have 0% use of our bathroom for the next 2 days. We’ve been squeaking by with being able to use the toilet, kitchen sink, and nightly trips to friends’ showers (thank you Fordyces, Mayottes, and McGuigans!)

But seriously, who tells a 9 month pregnant woman that she can’t use her own bathroom? or better yet, who says that you will be able to use your toilet throughout the whole retiling process and then takes it back with no notice? Oh well, being frustrated won’t solve anything. Here are some photos from the day.

JLOOP Halloween

Trick-or-treat.

We had a JLOOP party. Pizza, candy, pumpkins, piƱata, candy, costumes, dry ice, noodles, candy corn, monsters, candy, and more candy…the kids loved it.

My favorite moment from last night was when I told Micah (the scarecrow), “Hey Scarecrow, Nice costume…you look scary”
And he responded with “Youre welcome”.

Stay Gold.

Do We Have Enough

This was a really fun and exciting project to work on with the JLOOP team. It is the brainchild of the incredible “Jay Dysart of The Internets” and it was a lot of fun to work on and will be exciting to watch it grow and develop! And yes, there will be more characters coming soon. We are starting with incorporating the JLOOP team and maybe a celebrity here and there. We’ve got one JLOOPer currently in the line-up…can you guess which one?

Downtown Long Beach Business

This site was a whirlwind of a project! And it might be proof that the faster a project moves from discovery and design through production and launch, the better. It was an awesome opportunity and an honor to work on a site representing the very area we work in. Our office is in the East Village, one of the 5 areas highlighted on this site (also the best of the 5 in my opinion). Budget was tight so Greg and I got to go out and shoot the photography ourselves and it worked out pretty great if I do say so myself. Check it out for yourself and hopefully you will be inspired to open up your business downtown, maybe even next to JLOOP!

Bel Air Siena

Its seems like I’m always working on something for the Teles Properties site at JLOOP, but the Bel Air Siena listing needed its very own unique site. It is always interesting designing for a project that I could never even comprehend affording!

Casibella

This was a fun project I headed up at JLOOP. Casibella publishes books in a unique way. They call it fashion publishing and print their poems on shirts and package them in boxes resembling a book. It was a fun project with a lot of creative freedom to highlight their fashion-forward edge.

HSI Health

This was the first project I worked on at JLOOP. It was a very technically detailed project to understand and a good challenge. The company happens to be headquartered in my hometown of Santa Rosa so it was a nice connection to have with the client. The site turned out great and I worked on a lot of print design and marketing campaigns after the launch of the site.

Lauren Mackler

This was a redesign project I worked on with my team at JLOOP. Lauren Mackler has been working with JLOOP for quite some time and it was a pleasure to work on this site. Lauren was getting ready to release her book Solemate and so we wanted to reveal her new site design in time to support the book release…it turned out to be a great success!
